Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) is a radiation therapy that uses precisely targeted beams of radiation to treat small tumors in the brain as well as functional abnormalities of the brain. It can deliver very high doses of radiation reducing the treatment protocol to as little as a single treatment, or one that is a few treatments.

Used in conjunction with IGRT, it improves the treatment’s precision and accuracy. When this type of therapy is used on the body, it is known as stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT).
