2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
UPDATED INFORMATION FROM:
Arizona Blood and Cancer Specialists and Arizona Breast Health Specialists
As our communities start to re-open after the COVID-19 stay at home order expires in Arizona, adapting to a new way of living and working will be a “new normal” for many. But when you have cancer, “getting back to normal” can be scary.
While the future course of the virus cannot be predicted with certainty, our practice will continue following CDC guidelines to care for our patients. Our physicians and staff will continue using personal protective equipment as recommended.
We will continue to prescreen our patients prior to their scheduled appointment. Please call prior to coming to one of our clinics if you or any members of your household have any of the following:
If you are affected by any of these, we advise that you self-isolate, limit contact with others, and seek advice by telephone from your healthcare provider.
We ask that everyone entering our clinics wear a mask / face covering that covers the mouth and nose and practice social distancing in our waiting areas.
Only patients are allowed in our clinics. No visitors will be allowed in waiting areas or patient treatment areas.
If your upcoming appointment is one that your provider feels would be appropriate for a telemedicine visit, one of our staff members will reach out to you with instructions.
We’ll be working diligently to reschedule any patients who may have missed a prior appointment. In addition, on April 22, Governor Ducey issued an Executive Order removing restrictions on conducting elective surgeries for hospitals, health care facilities and providers that meet certain preparedness criteria. Our office will be rescheduling those patients who may have had surgery postponed, however please note that hospitals are scheduling required COVID-19 testing prior to elective procedures or surgeries. Patients will be contacted by hospital staff to schedule tests at their in-house labs.
Thank you for your patience and support. Now and in the future our highest priority will always be to protect our patients, physicians, and staff.
