2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Arizona Blood and Cancer Specialists and Arizona Breast Health Specialists

In Arizona we have seen a sharp increase in the number of diagnosed cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus in June 2020. We want to reassure our patients that our practice is continuing to follow CDC guidelines, and our physicians and staff will continue using personal protective equipment as recommended.

We will continue to prescreen our patients prior to their scheduled appointment. Please call prior to coming to one of our clinics if you or any members of your household have any of the following:

  • Fever (suspected or actual temperature of 100.4°F/38.0°C or greater)
  • Cough / shortness of breath / difficulty breathing
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat or loss of taste and smell
  • In the last 14 days you have been tested for Coronavirus COVID-19, been directly exposed to someone with a confirmed case, or someone being tested for Coronavirus COVID-19
  • Congestion or runny nose*
  • Nausea or vomiting*
  • Diarrhea*

*New symptoms added by the CDC

This list does not include all possible symptoms. The CDC will continue to update this list as they learn more about COVID-19.

If you are affected by any of these, we advise that you self-isolate, limit contact with others, and seek advice by telephone from your healthcare provider.

Everyone entering our clinics is required to wear a mask / face covering that covers the mouth and nose and practice social distancing in our waiting areas.

Only patients are allowed in our clinics. No visitors will be allowed in waiting areas or patient treatment areas.

If your upcoming appointment is one that your provider feels would be appropriate for a telemedicine visit, one of our staff members will reach out to you with instructions.

We are working to reschedule any patients who may have missed a prior appointment.

Thank you for your patience and support. Now and in the future our highest priority will always be to protect our patients, staff and physicians.
